The Cheat Canyon is a West Virginia classic run, welcoming to all. It is harder than the Lower Yough, easier than the Upper Yough though, but it is more of a river running play run. At higher water it gets spicier, but is almost always running in the spring/ fall/ winter. It is the last river to drop out in the area, besides valley falls, and has a festival every year, on the first weekend of May. This level is the most common level its run, as any higher then there are normally other options. It is a fun run to do when nothing else is in, and has some pretty fun surf. Enjoy!
