Born in Brooklyn and raised between Brooklyn and Queens, Biz’s life was shaped by adversity from an early age. After being abandoned by his mother as a child and later forced out of his father’s home as a teenager, he found himself surviving on his own ultimately leading to years of arrests, prison, and the streets. Over the years, Biz served time in both New York State prison and federal prison, including a 4 1/2 year federal sentence on firearms trafficking charges before returning home in 2013. Instead of allowing his past to define him, he committed himself to rebuilding through entrepreneurship. His journey included opening a barbershop, a detailing business, a candy store, a music label, and a custom automotive company. While not every venture succeeded, every experience became a lesson that eventually led him to his true passion building a company in the virtual reality space while expanding into cannabis, real estate, and nonprofit work focused on creating second chances for formerly incarcerated individuals. Today, nearly 13 years after his release from federal prison, Biz is on the longest legal run of his life and is preparing to launch new businesses, a television show, and initiatives designed to help others rewrite their own stories.
