ଆଜି ପୟାଶ୍ରାଦ୍ଧ Diwali Rituals in Odisha | | Devotees Perform Paya Shraddha on Diwali In Puri

Bada Badia Daka and Paya Shraddha are important traditional rituals observed in Odisha on Kartik Amavasya, the day of Diwali. In Puri, devotees gather near Shree Jagannath Temple to offer pind daan and remember their ancestors. According to Hindu tradition, people light Kaunria sticks and call upon their forefathers, seeking their blessings before bidding them farewell with the light of the burning sticks. Devotees who could not perform pind daan during the year also observe Paya Shraddha on this occasion. With a large number of devotees arriving in Srikshetra, the temple and district administration have made special arrangements for orderly rituals, darshan and security. #BadaBadiaDaka #PayaShraddha #DiwaliInPuri #PuriSrimandir #JagannathTemple #OdishaTradition #Diwali2026 #OdishaNews ଆଜି ପୟାଶ୍ରାଦ୍ଧ Diwali Rituals in Odisha | | Devotees Perform Paya Shraddha on Diwali In Puri Bada Badia Daka in Puri, Paya Shraddha on Diwali, Kartik Amavasya rituals Odisha, why Kaunria sticks are lit on Diwali, ancestor worship tradition in Odisha, pind daan near Jagannath Temple, Diwali rituals at Puri Srimandir, Bada Badia Daka meaning, Puri Diwali crowd and security arrangements Kanak News is Odisha's leading 24x7 news and current affairs TV channel from Eastern Media Limited.
