The Dip Metress Show kicks off its third season with AU men’s basketball coach Dip Metress looking at his very young squad that will try to improve on last season’s 12-18 record. Metress, who played his college ball at Belmont Abbey in North Carolina (where he later would also coach), is entering his 23rd season at Augusta University. His career coaching record is 601-280, winning at a nearly 70-percent clip. It will be his 30th season overall as a head coach. Under Metress, the Jaguars have been the national runner-up twice, been as far as the national Final Four three times, been to the Elite Eight four times and the Sweet Sixteen five times. This week, Metress is interviewed by David Bulla, subbing for regular host Rodrigo Burgos Avila.
