Autumn in Poland is absolutely magical! 🇵🇱🍂 Join me for a beautiful autumn adventure in Ojców National Park (Ojcowski Park Narodowy), just outside Kraków, followed by a sunny walk through Kraków Old Town with my Ukrainian friend Natalia. Golden autumn colours, Polish nature, meaningful friendships and the beauty of slow travel in Poland.
Welcome back to The Writing Traveler! ❤️
I'm spending autumn in Kraków, Poland, and every day reminds me why I love this country so much.
In today's Poland travel vlog, we're discovering two very different sides of autumn in southern Poland.
First, my dear friend Selin and I visit the stunning Ojców National Park, one of Poland's most beautiful national parks and a wonderful day trip from Kraków.
Then I return to Kraków Old Town to meet my Ukrainian friend Natalia. Together, we walk through the city, remember special moments, talk about how life feels now, and share our thoughts about trusting the future.
🍁 *OJCÓW NATIONAL PARK IN AUTUMN — A BEAUTIFUL DAY TRIP FROM KRAKÓW*
Ojców National Park, known in Polish as Ojcowski Park Narodowy, is located in southern Poland, close to Kraków, in the beautiful Kraków-Częstochowa Upland (Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska).
It's famous for its limestone rock formations, picturesque valleys, forests, hiking trails, caves and beautiful natural scenery.
And in autumn?
It's absolutely stunning.
This is Selin's first time visiting Ojców, so I get to be her guide!
I've been here before, but seeing a familiar place through a friend's eyes makes it feel new again.
If you're planning to visit Kraków in October or looking for the best day trips from Kraków, Ojców National Park is definitely worth discovering.
🇵🇱 *KRAKÓW IN AUTUMN — SUNNY STREETS AND BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIPS*
In the second half of this video, I'm back in Kraków, enjoying a surprisingly warm and sunny autumn day.
I meet my Ukrainian friend Natalia in Kraków Old Town (Stare Miasto).
As we walk through the beautiful historic streets, we talk about our memories, how we are feeling in this chapter of our lives, and what it means to trust the future.
Sometimes the most meaningful moments aren't about visiting famous attractions.
They're about being together.
Having an honest conversation.
Remembering the past with gratitude.
And looking towards the future with hope.
We end our walk sitting in the sunshine outside the National Museum in Kraków (Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie).
Natalia also shares a little about learning English, while her Polish has already become so good.
❤️ *WHY POLAND FEELS LIKE HOME*
As a Dutch traveller, I've been exploring Poland for years, and Kraków has become one of the places where I feel most at home.
I love Poland's nature, historic cities, changing seasons and everyday life.
But what makes a place truly special is often the people.
The friendships. The conversations. The memories.
And the feeling of belonging.
This autumn, I'm continuing to discover Poland slowly, appreciating both the beautiful landscapes and the little moments that make life meaningful.
🌿 *SLOW TRAVEL IN POLAND — NATURE, FRIENDSHIP AND THE ART OF NOTICING*
A familiar city.

A warm autumn afternoon.
And the feeling that life can be beautiful exactly where we are.
