A pocketful of acorns, some inexpensive cotton, and a few days of experimenting. In this video, I’m dyeing fabric for a future quilt, adding iron to shift the colors, and overdyeing some indigo fabric to get the moodier blues I’ve been hoping for. There’s also a little project making, my first attempt at knitting socks, and plenty of figuring things out along the way. Some of the colors take a little patience, but seeing them all together at the end makes me want to start quilting right away. Have you tried dyeing with acorns?
