This song's now iconic Piano Riff was written by Carlton in 1998 (originally under the title "Interlude") before being reworked to include orchestrated sections and renamed to "A Thousand Miles" and finally releasing with Vanessa's debut album "Be Not Nobody" in 2002. The song is famous for it's melancholic sound and it's "Traveling Piano" main riff. The song's music video was in heavy rotation on MTV due to its unique setting and theme. The song has become a pop culture sensation in the early 2000s' appearing in all sorts of media and films such as Legally Blonde and White Chicks. To date, the song is Vanessa Carlton's biggest hit and the success of the song paved way for the artist's career in which these days, she's apparently considered among the best female artists of the 21st century. Growing up with this nostalgic tune, i was very happy to see Lane Breakers give this modern pop classic a good touch up. The venue effects, charting and overall presentation are absolutely gorgeous. I have previously covered this song several times in this channel's history, including a Co Op FC with ‪@dat4iG‬ who also grew up with this tune. That version was based on the chart by "drummerockband" which was the most common source of the song before this version was created.
