Why I Stopped Apologizing for My Dirty Floors (A Hard Lesson from 30 Years of Starting Over)

I'd apologize for the carpet, the cat hair, the stains, the clutter... almost before anyone had a chance to notice them. Looking back, I don't think I was really apologizing for my house. I think I was apologizing for myself. After more than thirty years of starting over, I finally realized that a home doesn't have to be perfect to be filled with love, peace, and the life you've built inside it.
