🕯️ In an empty cathedral, a woman hears a familiar voice singing from somewhere beyond the walls. 👻 At first, the choir seems to answer her. Then the boundaries begin to blur. The words grow more personal, the voices move closer, and eventually the answer comes from somewhere far more unsettling — her own mouth. 🪞 “You Did” is a dark musical story about memory, guilt, identity and the strange moment when your own thoughts no longer feel entirely yours. The voice may be a memory, an accusation, a buried part of herself — or something else entirely. 🎼 The track blends dark techno with harmonium, harpsichord, pipe organ, prepared piano, tubular bells, bass clarinet, contrabassoon and metallic percussion. The female vocal uses unusual yodel-inspired register breaks woven directly into sung words, creating short, high, fractured phrases instead of traditional folk-style yodeling. 🗣️ The recurring exchange — “That’s my voice. Those aren’t my words.” / “You did.” — gradually becomes less like a conversation and more like a mind losing track of which voice belongs to whom. 🕯️ This is not a ghost story with a single answer, but a dark musical vision of memory, denial and a voice that may know more than its owner wants to admit.
