🗣️ Useful Bank English Phrases
Here are some important phrases to practise from today's lesson:
“I'd like to open a savings account, please.”
“I'd like to make a deposit.”
“I'd like to withdraw some money.”
“What's my balance?”
“Is there a fee for this?”
“Could you explain this part, please?”
“I lost my card. I need to block it.”
“I'd like to make a transfer.”
“I don't recognize this payment.”
Practise saying each sentence slowly, then repeat it at a natural speaking speed. The more you practise, the easier these phrases will become.
🎯 YOUR DAY 7 CHALLENGE
Imagine you are visiting a bank. You want to open a savings account and ask whether there is a fee.
Say these sentences out loud:
“Hello. I'd like to open a savings account, please.”
“Is there a fee for this account?”
Now imagine you have lost your bank card. Practise saying:
“Hello, I lost my card. I need to block it, please.”
Repeat each sentence two or three times. Focus on clear pronunciation and speaking with confidence.
