What does it actually mean to live the Christian life? For many believers, faith can feel like a weekly routine, showing up to church, going through the motions, and then returning to everyday life. But the Christian life was designed to be so much more than that. It is a 24/7 companionship with Jesus, a relationship marked by closeness, joy, and experiencing Him in every ordinary moment of the day. In the beginning, Adam walked with God in the cool of the day. There was intimacy, conversation, and delight in each other's presence. Sin broke that, but the cross restored it. Through Jesus taking our punishment, shame, and guilt, He made a way for us to stand before God as if we had never sinned. God does not deal with us according to our failures because Jesus already dealt with that on the cross. Psalm 103 reminds us that God has removed our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. That means when we mess up, the answer is not to hide in shame but to run toward Jesus. Peter's story shows us exactly this. After denying Jesus three times, the moment Peter saw the risen Christ on the shore, he jumped into the water and swam to get to Him as fast as he could. That desperate, wholehearted desire to be near Jesus is the posture God is calling every believer into. Hebrews 12:2 calls us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith. In a world that idolizes people and platforms, it is easy to look to others for inspiration and direction. But when we look to Jesus, He becomes a constant, permanent source of wisdom, strength, and genuine faith. People will always have limitations. Jesus never does. The Song of Solomon paints a picture of a bride so completely lovesick for her beloved that her devotion makes others curious. That is the most powerful form of evangelism there is: a life so captivated by Jesus that the people around us want to know what makes Him so special. When Jesus flows out of every conversation, every action, and every interaction, our lives become a testimony that points others to Him.
