After collecting a large amount of snails, I carefully wash and clean them by hand using simple traditional methods. Basket by basket, the fresh harvest is prepared while I enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the surrounding tropical forest and mountain landscape. Living close to nature means making use of the food and resources available around the farm. From harvesting freshwater snails to preparing food and taking care of the homestead, every small task is part of my simple rural life in the mountains.
