I thought I had gotten good at this. Managing my emotions, recognizing when I'm off, catching myself before it spirals. And then this month happened, and I remembered that being self-aware doesn't make you immune. It just means you notice the fall more clearly. This is the most honest thing I've shared since my MS diagnosis, and I think it's the most important. In this video, I'm walking you through what actually happened this month, including someone close to me getting diagnosed with the same chronic disease I have, navigating that while still in my trial period at a new job, and trying to do too many things at once while running on less emotional fuel than usual. I'm also sharing the three things that genuinely helped me find my footing again, how I think about emotional and cognitive space, why accepting the hard feelings is not the same as giving in to them, and why feeling bad right now does not mean you're back at square one. If this landed for you, I'd love to know in the comments. Tell me what your hardest month looked like, or what's helped you when everything stacked up at once. And if you're new here, subscribe because this is exactly the kind of honest, real content I make every week.
