i’ve traveled the world alone. here’s what it taught me about people

I’ve traveled alone through a lot of places – often knowing nobody, sometimes not speaking the language, and occasionally making decisions that probably looked a little crazy from the outside. Russia. China. Peru. Ethiopia. Mozambique. Cuba. Brazil. Jamaica. Bali. Myanmar. And plenty more. But when I look back at all those trips, the thing I remember most isn't the places. It's the people. The stranger who stopped to help. The woman who left me with her three children while she went looking for someone who spoke English. The Airbnb guests who found me in Bali 12 years later. The people who challenged what I thought I knew about their country and their culture. Travel taught me that the world can look very different when you stop relying on other people's assumptions and go experience it for yourself. In this video, I’m sharing some of the stories that have stayed with me – the funny ones, the unexpected ones, the uncomfortable ones, and the moments that changed how I see people. And yes… there was also the time I was standing about two meters away from Sean Paul and argued with someone who told me it was Sean Paul.
