A telegram arrived one day too late—and a quiet English village was left with a death that seemed entirely natural. But Miss Marple has learned that the smallest details often conceal the darkest secrets. When Edwin Ashworth, a wealthy widower, is found dead in his study, everyone believes his heart simply failed him. Yet Miss Marple cannot ignore one disturbing detail: an urgent telegram from his niece, Margaret, warning him "not to sign anything", arrived on the very morning his body was discovered. As Miss Marple investigates, she uncovers a suspicious inheritance scheme, a nephew with dangerous ambitions, a mysterious errand, and a delivery boy whose ordinary bicycle journey conceals an extraordinary deception. Every clue points toward a carefully planned delay—and a secret that someone desperately wanted to keep hidden. But was Edwin Ashworth truly the victim of natural circumstances, or did a calculated betrayal lead to his final moments? With her remarkable understanding of human nature, Miss Marple begins connecting the pieces of a puzzle that others have overlooked. "Will the truth finally catch up with the person responsible?" Or will justice arrive just as late as the telegram? Watch until the end to discover how one delayed message exposes a web of greed, deception, and devastating consequences.
