🔑 Key Interview Corrections
• S3 provides strong read-after-write, overwrite, delete, and list consistency.
• S3 console folders are logical prefixes, not physical folders.
• AWS does not recommend Reduced Redundancy Storage for new designs.
• Cross-Region Replication asynchronously copies objects between buckets. It does not make one bucket operate in multiple Regions.
• EBS volumes are replicated within one Availability Zone, not automatically across multiple Availability Zones.
• AWS does not generally recommend RAID 1, RAID 5, or RAID 6 for EBS. RAID 0 is the documented pattern when aggregate performance is required and the workload can manage its risk.
• EFS performance mode and throughput mode are separate design choices. AWS recommends General Purpose for faster per-operation performance.
• Effective November 7, 2025, Snowball Edge devices are limited to existing customers. New customers should evaluate current alternatives.
