It's that time of year again: cicLAvia Heart of LA! It was gonna be a "rain or shine" kind of situation but we got lucky and it ended up being pretty much PERFECT weather for the best cicLAvia of the year in one of the greatest cities on Earth. The homies were out and everyone seemed to be feelin' fine. I love cicLAvia so much and this route always takes the cake. Hits all the main spots in the heart of Los Angeles. Chinatown, downtown, Echo Park, Little Tokyo, the 6th street bridge, Boyle Heights, Mariachi Plaza, and I always like to make it a loop by dropping down 1st street and over the bridge back downtown for those epic views. Raff of the Los Angeles Cycling Community and Calendar was out there spinning the wheels for some prizes and spreading information and joy to all the riders.
