EP 3 Singapore- Orchard road, Chinese and japanese garden, IMM mall, Night safari

This is the 3rd episode of a 4 video series about Singapore. Just in case if you have missed the 2 videos published before this, do have a look at it for continuity. We started the video from Orchard road, which is the shopping hub of Singapore. Following are the places we visited as part of this journey. Date of Journey - 6th July Mall Visit - ION Orchard & Sky Hotel at the 55th Floor - But it was closed Chinese garden - through MRT Japanese garden - We saw a water lily In the Japanese Garden, we went to the Sunken Garden Then we took a bus to the IMM Mall Charles and keith - i bought a ladies purse from this shop. Shopping - GST Refund - 7% at airport On purchase of 100 SGD worth goods from one shop in one day. I didn’t buy stuff or 100 SGD so not eligible. If doing this first time - you can visit customs counter of singapore on arrival, to understand about this in bit more detail. They will explain you that you need to carry your passport to the shop, you need to show that goods with the invoice and document issued by the shop to the customs counter at airport they will reimburse this gst amount to you. While the gst amount is 9% but they will refund 7% Had coffee there, which we don't like IMM mall Through Bus - Arab Street Then we had a dish, “Murtabak “ Then, not be able to go there - Buggies Cloud Forest - Ticket Price Saw Garden by the Bay Night Lighting Night Safari Ticket - booking charges - 4150 per person. Hotel for stay - we stayed at Holiday inn express for 2 nights - paid 21k INR including breakfast for one day. I stayed Village hotel Albert court for 4 nights paid 10k per day without breakfast, this is a much better deal then staying at orchard road and paying 21k including breakfast. Reason why i shifted for 2 night at orchard road - i wanted to shoot orchard road early in morning and late in night, which may not have been that practical if i chose to stay at little india, but the whole idea got defeated bcoz i didn’t do any such shoot. Bottomline - if you are a budget conscious person like me then staying at orchard road is certainly not a good idea. There is another property by the name - Holiday inn city center, which is a full-fledged hotel. The tariff is more or less the same but there are differences between these two hotels. Holiday inn express - Almost on orchard road, tariff includes breakfast. This is an express hotel, so you will have to take your luggage to the room on your own, kind of help yourself. No swimming pool, good for comfort. Better choice for people looking at spending time at orchard road, if planning to stay at heart of the city this is a good choice. Holiday in City centre - This is a full fledged hotel, tariff does not include breakfast, most facilities like swimming pool, gym etc available, this is 15 to 18 min walk from main orchard road mall area. If someone wants to spend more time in exploring facilities at the hotel then this is a good choice to stay. Tariff per day approx 22k, you need to pay extra for the breakfast.
