Have you ever looked down on something, only to find yourself in that exact position later? I used to be ashamed that my mom was a hostess in Japan—now, I’m one too. Growing up, I didn’t understand the reality of the hostess industry, but now that I work as a hostess myself, my perspective has completely changed. In this video, I open up about my journey, the stigma around being a hostess in Japan, and how I’ve come to embrace this job. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like to be a hostess in Japan, from the challenges to the unexpected lessons, this video is for you. I know I can’t fit everything into just one video, so if the algorithm works in my favor, I might turn this into a series and share even more about my experiences. This isn’t just about being a hostess—it’s about how we see certain jobs, the stigma that comes with them, and how our feelings toward them evolve. If you’ve ever felt conflicted about your work or struggled with society’s judgment, I’d love to hear your thoughts. find me here   / helloeliko   for PRs & inquiries eliurabe@gmail.com about me Hello it's Eli!
