The Race Finished Me | 2026 TKO Race 2 Highlights

Race 2 didn't end the way I wanted it to — but it definitely gave me a few stories to bring home. After making it through Race 1 and qualifying for Race 2 of the 2026 TKO (Tennessee Knockout) Hard Enduro, it was time to head back out and see how far I could make it against an even tougher course and an already exhausted body. Things started going wrong about a third of the way in when I lost the end piece from my hydration bladder and dumped all of my electrolytes. From there, the heat and fatigue started catching up with me. Then came a flat rear tire, followed by increasingly bad cramps. I kept pushing for as long as I could, but eventually the combination of heat, exhaustion, cramping, dehydration, and a flat tire won. I made it roughly halfway through Race 2 before calling it. So, no finish for me this time. But there was still plenty of good hard enduro along the way — technical climbs, rocks, bottlenecks, mistakes, recoveries, and some entertaining moments that were definitely worth putting together. This video is the condensed version of my Race 2 attempt: the good parts, the bad parts, and the parts where things started falling apart. Even though I didn't finish Race 2, it did give me a pretty good idea of what I need to work on before the next one. Sometimes you finish the race.
