The Poetry Template You Have to Try & an Afternoon at the Cabin

Today we're heading to the cabin for a picnic lunch and some poetry writing. I'm using a template to write a keepsake poem called I Am From. The original (included in the link below) is by George Ella Lyon, and it's a writing exercise I've used personally, in class rooms, and writing groups. Its simple premise and mad libs style form makes it accessible for anyone and everyone! No matter your age or writing experience, give it a try!
