Visiting Seattle and wondering whether the new waterfront is worth the walk down from Pike Place Market? We came back expecting rain. Instead, Saturday gave us blue sky. Coming from San Diego, where we have our own May Gray and June Gloom, we weren't about to spend it indoors.
WHAT YOU'LL SEE
• Pike Place Market — flowers, food counters, the fish market, and my husband buying his jerky
• Beecher's Handmade Cheese, where they make cheese right in the market, and Le Panier, a bakery we'd loved before
• The line outside the original Starbucks — and why we skipped it again
• The Overlook Walk, which wasn't open on our last visit, down to Pier 62 and Elliott Bay
• Lunch at Old Stove Brewing Co., a friend's recommendation — can you guess what we ordered?
• A walk through downtown past Harbor Steps to the Seattle Central Library
WHY WATCH
We film in first-person POV so you can spend the afternoon alongside us. We've visited Seattle before, so this is a return visit: what changed since our last trip, what we skipped, and why we kept putting off lunch to keep walking.

GETTING THERE
Pike Place Market is in downtown Seattle. Walking distance depends on where you're staying, and the return uphill is worth keeping in mind. The Overlook Walk connects the market to the waterfront; we took the stairs down to Pier 62, then walked back up for lunch. Check current hours before visiting.
Go slow. The moments we remember most were the ones we almost walked past.
