Now reaching an eleventh chapter, the “Clubsonica Sampler” series gathers five new tracks from across South America and Europe to map the global reach of the Clubsonica sound once more.
Handed a keyboard at the age of two, Pablo Francisco Retamero journeyed via Creamfields stages with Le Microkosmos to a solo career as Govinda. With music on Just Movement, AH Digital, and Balkan Connection, the Argentine opens proceedings alongside rising duo Glamour's Joint, who have released on Balkan Connection and PURRFECTION. Replete with rippling arpeggiated synth lines, the Brazilian/Argentine axis creates a powerful 8-minute via “Campeche”. Entwined with white-noise risers, textured pads, and a sustained bassline in the second half, the track creates a dynamic soundstage that conjures sonic images of the historic port in southeast Mexico.
A resident at Madrid’s Circus and Space of Sound in the early 2000s, Luis Damora is among the most influential names in Spanish Progressive House, with releases on Sudbeat, Mango Alley, and the “Kobalt” EP on Forty Cats’ PURRFECTION in May 2026. “Lasting Memories” is thus characterized by a warm, rolling bass groove that sits elegantly alongside delay-infused melodies and a searing denouement at the breakdown, carried into the third movement with an air of melancholia and nostalgia.
Born in 2005, Córdoba’s Tobi Amuchastegui is one of Argentina’s brightest young talents. Having already shared the booth with Hernán Cattaneo, his music has swiftly found a home on SINCITY, AH Digital, and YOMO Records ahead of a vibrant contribution here. “Lower Faded” is a smorgasbord of driving beat, percussive flair, and melodic delicacy, as cavernous sub-bass and hefty kick provide the basis for groove aplenty. Shimmering chords add to the energy as the track rises and falls across the breakdown before finding its mark again in the latter stages to a devastating conclusion.
Reuniting after collaborations on Dopamine White and Modern Agenda, Belgrade pairing Bojan B and Hobin Rude, they join forces on “Parallax”, with One Of A Kind regular Bojan joined by Hobin’s more than 400 credits across Mango Alley, Meanwhile, and Proton Music. Full of hypnotic prowess and dynamism, a mesmerizing combination of bass and percussive flair takes “Parallax” on a multi-faceted journey that shifts in energy across its phases. Evolving with a muted melody, an open filter sees it panning the stereo spectrum by the midpoint to create a special aural atmosphere.
Closing proceedings, Octava Club resident Cristian Caro brings Bogotá flavour to “Waa Waa”. Supported by Hernán Cattaneo and Mariano Mellino, the Colombian’s output spans Soundteller Records, Sunexplosion, and AH Digital before reaching Clubsonica with his driving new work. A perfect peak-time club destroyer, a rolling 16th-note bassline and metronomic beat form the foundation for ethereal pads to sit atop. Developing in effortless fashion over its 7-minute timeframe, a scorching synth riser hits its peak at the breakdown before dropping back into the magnificent and immaculately worked club-friendly groove.
