Deep inside a home in Kutch, I met a family keeping an old handloom tradition alive. They work from their own house, using traditional handlooms to create beautiful cotton fabrics by hand. I got to see the entire process up close and understand how much skill, patience and hard work goes into something that most of us simply see as a piece of cloth. What struck me most was the reality behind this tradition — earning around ₹600–700 a day while continuing a craft that has been passed down through generations.
