Bear Encounter While Canoe Camping and Lake Trout Fishing - 4 Days Alone

4 days alone canoeing and portaging into secluded Algonquin lakes my dog and I have a close encounter with a black bear. I planned an extremely tough trip with 8 km of portages in only four days, my hopes were that if i put some good portaging behind me the wildlife and fishing would be better. The wildlife was abundant, with bears, beavers, loons, turtles and the fishing was also really good. On this route we went to Pine Tree and Frasher lake in Algonquin. Ontario backcountry canoe camping. Canadian wilderness.
