Susanoo (Japanese) vs Set (Egyptian) vs Odin (Norse) Difficulty: Hard Game type: Standard AI Personality: Mythical (Set & Odin) Map Visibility: Standard Starting Resources: Standard Includes: ULTIMATE FAN PACK BLOOD AND BONES PACK I noticed on YouTube there was a shortage of no-commentary skirmish videos for Age of Mythology Retold. So I decided to upload some myself. I will go through different combinations of gods and random maps and fight my way to victory. Please note that I don't consider myself a professional Age of Mythology player so my play style will likely not follow any build orders. If you have a combination in mind, feel free to leave it in the comments below. Whoopsie! I was in such a hurry to get this video out I forgot to look up a build order first. Maybe that's why the game ended up going much longer than I anticipated. But being aggressive did pay off as I was able to generate a lot of bushido XP. I probably could have gotten more if I had taken out the shades guarding the vault but oh well. Getting favor as the Japanese is very slow. As the match got longer my resources grew thin so my trickle got lower. I would have gotten more sooner if I thought of casting more shrines of the hunt earlier. There were also a lot of technologies I wish I had researched sooner, notably Sakura Gardens to keep my favor trickle high, but also Ten-Fist Sword to let my Samurai do more damage upon death. But there were some firsts in this game. This is the first time I eliminated another playing in a King of the Hill match. It's also the first time in recent memory that I reached the elite bushido tier. I've also never before seen the mirage map turn into an Anatolia lookalike before. Had a explored the map a little more, maybe I would have noticed that it was possible to send siege ships to harass Visby. Now that we're done the Japanese, I might finally play as the Norse again, although the Aztecs or Chinese seem quite tempting... Lessons learned: Assign your workers into teams Hit the "." key regularly to check for idle workers Don't stop training workers Build more walls and towers Train more soldiers to replace the fallen ones. FREE TO USE: you may use footage from this video in your own videos, whether it's for a reaction video, for background noise, compilation, general discussion etc. No need to ask permission. I only ask that you leave in your description a link to this video. 0:00 Introduction 1:11 Game 10:49 Visby captures the vault 12:47 Vault captured 14:56 Azuchi captures the vault 20:31 Vault recaptured 24:35 Divine Slash 30:09 Vault tug of war 46:25 Attacking Azuchi 51:34 Vault secured 56:00 Azuchi resigns 59:36 Postgame
