Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 1. The leaders arrived separately at the Yrys Ordo state congress hall and were welcomed by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. The security-focused Eurasian bloc has expanded from its original six members to 10 permanent members, alongside 16 dialogue and observer countries.
