Look at the world around you. From the moment we are young, we are conditioned to believe that our value exists only in our usefulness. How much can you produce? How efficient are you? We wear our exhaustion like a badge of honour, measuring our days by endless checklists—and the moment we pause, guilt whispers that we are falling behind. Over 2,000 years ago, the Taoist master Zhuangzi offered an answer that shatters this illusion: The Parable of the Useless Tree. When a carpenter encountered an ancient oak of monumental proportions, he walked past it without a second glance. To him, the tree was worthless: too gnarled to make boats, too bitter to yield sweet fruit, too twisted to be turned into furniture. Yet that very "uselessness" was the secret to its survival. The straight pine is cut down in its prime, but the twisted tree lives to touch the clouds. In a world demanding that you be easily shaped, cut down, and used until broken—dare to keep a few crooked branches. Protect a part of yourself that remains completely useless to the market. 🌿 Music & Visuals: • Art Style: Traditional Ink-Wash Painting (Shanshui) • Narration: Philosophical Taoist Commentary #Zhuangzi #Taoism #Philosophy #InnerPeace #SlowLiving #Mindfulness #AncientWisdom
