1785! HOME OF LEXINGTON FOUNDER, WILLIAM MCCONNELL! HISTORY!

We visited the home of Lexington, Kentucky Co-Founder, William McConnell who came from Pennsylvania to the area in 1774 with his brother. The brothers came back in 1775 and established a camp and upon learning that the Revolutionary War had started at the Battle of Lexington and Concord, the brothers decided to name their camp "Lexington" in the battles honor. The name stuck. William McConnell built this house in 1785 and it still stands today. Here it's story in this video!
