Why do some Muslim women wear the niqab? What makes a woman choose to cover her face, and what is the honest truth behind it? As a Muslim woman who wears the niqab, I wanted to share my personal perspective on this question and talk about some of the reasons why I choose to wear it. There isn’t one answer that speaks for every Muslim woman. Every woman has her own journey, experiences, and reasons. For me, this is about modesty, striving for piety, and trying to do what I believe brings me closer to Allah. But there’s more to the conversation than what you might assume just by looking at a woman wearing a niqab.
