The mud tracks show how long we imitate the animal sounds: the longer the mud, the longer the sound. Suggested lesson flow: Sing along with the video and add the movements * Play along later using Boomwhackers or other instruments This way, students don’t just hear the note values – they move and feel them Movement ideas: Whole note → big circle with the arms Half note → rub hands on thighs Quarter note → clap on the chest Eighth notes → fast clapping pattern Note: animal sounds are different in every country – these are just examples.
