Jinyiwei (Imperial Guard) Lu Yi discovers that the coastal defense map of Minister of War Xu Lang was stolen by Assistant Minister of War Cao Kun. After Cao's mansion burns down and Cao Kun is presumed "dead," Jinxia deduces it's murder. Lu Yi takes over the case, confiscates Jinxia's gun, and they bet on who will solve it first.
