A square splits on every touch until 4,553 cells outline a moon; 2,200 balls fall through pegs into a bell curve; 60,000 grains topple pile by pile. Thirteen rules, each run until it finishes. Every collision, drop and swap plays a note. No talking.
Photosensitivity: the colours are bright and keep moving, and collision points give off small, short flashes. There is no full-screen strobe.
All rules and code are original. Each chapter ends when the simulation itself reaches its finish (a moon, a spiral, a bell curve, a full glass, 60,000 grains). Nothing is animated toward a planned picture.
Three chapters hide a public-domain melody in their sound: Turkish March, Greensleeves and Canon in D. Can you find them?
Chapters
0:00 Every touch splits a square — until it's a MOON
0:45 Taller bars hop past shorter ones — until a SPIRAL forms
1:29 Every peg nudges a ball — until a BELL forms
2:16 Every domino tips the next — until it's a RAINBOW
3:06 Each pendulum swings once more — until they ALIGN
3:50 Neighbors start a hair apart — until they SCATTER
4:24 Sand pours in layers — until the GLASS is full
5:10 Every ball strikes one bar — until the SONG ends
5:55 Every seed grows a crystal — until nothing is EMPTY
6:28 Every full glass spills over — until ALL are full
7:11 Shaken grains slide to still lines — until the PATTERN locks
7:53 Every bounce ties a thread to its double — until it's a CARDIOID
8:36 Every pile of four topples — until 60,000 GRAINS
Which of the thirteen would you want slowed down, so you could watch every step? Leave it in the comments.
