Algonquin Park Fall Solo Backcountry Trip

Solo backcountry canoe camping trip in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Scenic autumn foliage, blue skies, sunsets, starry nights, morning mist, waterfalls, a challenging portage, and fishing on Cache, Head, and Kenneth Lakes. 3 days/2 nights out and back, September 2026. Last year I did a trip without my camera so I could just enjoy the moment since it had been a while. But, I almost immediately regretted it when I was reminded of how beautiful the park can be, especially at this time of year. So, this year I brought my camera and tried something new: filming as much of the trip as I could.
