KV Narayanaswamy - Chamber Concert, 1970's - 98th Birth Anniversary Special - Phenomenal Concert

KV Narayanaswamy - (Accompanists could not be identified) Although I normally don't provide an analysis of the concerts that I post, this concert is extremely special to me for many reasons, and I duly choose this day, to publish this masterpiece and share a small thought of mine. While the entire concert is spectacular and greatly worth listening to, one item stands out as a shining gem. The rendition of "Evari Mata Vinnavo" in this concert, is quite literally unparalleled! Shri Narayanaswamy's unwavering shruthi-shuddam, and incredible vocal strength are displayed in splendor! The delicateness and majesty that he shows when handling the “Madhya-sthayi" in the alaapana! 32:32 to 36:28 The impeccable adherence to layam and breath control, as he fashions complex yet poignant patterns and phrases on the spot when singing niravel on the upper gandharam! - 48:10 to 52:06 This concert remains ever-fresh in my memory (and I am sure it will in yours as well), as it is truly a masterclass by the genius that is Palghat Shri KV Narayanaswamy.
