the gorge at Malga Ciapela is mainly known by ice climbers. there are fantastic ice walls to admire and climb. During the thaw period the gorge is closed and it is too dangerous to enter the gorge. If you are in the area, it is more than worthwhile to walk through the gorge, both in winter and summer. we skied through the gorge. this went a bit quickly because we didn't want to miss the last bus to the hotel.
