What happens when you change ONLY someone’s clothing colors? In this Color Rescue Lab, we use color analysis to show why certain colors make a person look more harmonious. Welcome to Color Rescue Lab, a new Color Class series where Sara and Lucinda analyze real outfits and demonstrate how changing the colors surrounding a person can completely change the overall effect, without changing the person. In this episode, we work through two color transformations using the three dimensions of personal color analysis: Light vs. Deep, Warm vs. Cool, and Soft vs. Clear. For our first example, a bright blue outfit competes with the man's natural coloring. We first soften the blue, then adjust the color temperature to create a warmer, more harmonious combination. Our second example shows why depth can matter just as much as undertone. We compare light pink, deeper pink and deep teal to demonstrate how clothing color can better reflect someone's natural depth, temperature and clarity.
