Our RV GPS Sent Us Somewhere We Should NOT Have Been

Our RV GPS took our fifth wheel where it should never go. What started as a normal travel day from Niagara Falls KOA quickly turned into one of our most stressful drives yet. First, a broken truck fuel pump sent us to the auto side of a service plaza, where we had to pull our fifth wheel under a clearance that looked way too low, with fire suppression bars and lights just inches from our roof. But that was only the beginning. Later, our RV GPS sent us straight through downtown, and after one missed turn, we ended up deep in a residential neighborhood with low power lines, tight streets, and no good options for a fifth wheel our size. At one point, we had to move to the opposite side of the road just to get safely underneath the lines. Between all of that, we stayed at Tilden Hill Farm in New York and Bragg Farm Sugar House in Vermont — two completely different stops that reminded us why we still love getting off the beaten path.
