How Women Fell, Buck and Haul Timber With a Chainsaw and Walk-Behind Tractor _ Timelapse 30 Minute

Women fell trees and haul logs down a steep mountain hillside, with a chainsaw, a walk-behind tractor and plenty of muscle. This crew takes on a sloping, partly cleared hillside with scattered trees and dry brush. They notch the trunks, guide the trees down by rope, cut them to length, and load the logs by hand onto a trailer. Then the whole load rolls down a muddy track. There's no narration here, just the work from the first cut to the final log pile. Along the way you'll see: Felling trees with a chainsaw and guiding them down by rope Clearing the slope and bucking thick trunks Lifting logs over the trailer rails, two people at a time Stacking and staking a full load A wheel sinking into a rut on the grassy slope Poles swaying through the corn on the way to the site Unloading the trunks into a cleared, dug-out area Gear on screen: chainsaw, work gloves, rubber boots, conical straw hats, a walk-behind tractor with a green-and-red trailer, and a wooden cart. If you enjoy slow, hands-on work with real tools and real effort, stick around for the full video. Subscribe to Building Nature for more.
