Welcome to The Trainers – your hub for insightful psychological insights and personal development. One day, they block you. A few days later, they unblock you. Sometimes they talk as if nothing happened, and sometimes they disappear without explanation. This repeated cycle can leave you confused, emotionally exhausted, and constantly wondering what you did wrong. But here is an important question: Are you building a relationship with someone who genuinely wants to resolve problems, or are you getting trapped in a cycle of uncertainty? Blocking someone is not always a sign of manipulation. Sometimes, people need space to calm down or protect their boundaries. However, when blocking and unblocking becomes a repeated pattern used during every disagreement, it can damage trust and emotional security. HOW SHOULD YOU HANDLE THIS BEHAVIOUR? 1. Stop Chasing Every Time They Unblock You You do not have to restart the conversation immediately whenever they return. Give yourself time to understand whether anything has genuinely changed. 2. Do Not Let Their Actions Control Your Emotions Constantly waiting for a message, checking their profile, or wondering when they will unblock you can consume your mental energy. Bring your attention back to your own routine, responsibilities, and well-being. 3. Communicate Your Boundary Clearly If communication is possible and safe, explain calmly that you are willing to discuss disagreements, but repeated blocking and disappearing is not a healthy way to resolve them. 4. Judge the Pattern, Not Just the Apology Someone may return with affectionate words or promises, but meaningful change requires consistent behaviour. Observe whether they take responsibility and learn to handle conflict differently. 5. Do Not Confuse Emotional Uncertainty with Love The relief you feel when someone returns can be intense after a period of rejection or silence. But that relief does not necessarily mean the relationship is healthy or that the person is right for you. 6. Know When to Step Back If the pattern continues despite clear communication, consider limiting contact or ending the cycle. You are not obligated to remain available for a relationship that repeatedly undermines your emotional well-being. KEY INSIGHT “Jo shakhs har baar aapko apni zindagi se nikal kar phir wapas bulata hai, usay sirf apni mohabbat nahi—apni boundaries bhi samjhana zaroori hai.” You cannot force someone to communicate maturely, but you can decide what kind of behaviour you are willing to accept. TRAINER'S REFLECTION Ask yourself one honest question: “If this pattern never changed, would I still choose this relationship?” Your answer may help you see the situation more clearly than another promise ever could. Do not measure a relationship by how many times someone comes back. Measure it by the respect, consistency, and emotional security they bring when they stay. #RelationshipPsychology #BlockUnblock #EmotionalBoundaries #SelfRespect #HealthyRelationships #EmotionalIntelligence #RelationshipAdvice #ToxicPatterns #SelfAwareness #MentalPeace #DrRafiqDar #TheTrainers Here’s what you’ll find in this video: • A quick dive into emotional triggers in communication]. • Expert perspectives from Dr. Rafiq Dar, Neuropsychologist.
