WEIRD WIN: Why did Missouri’s offense regress against Troy? TKS Week 3 Recap

Mizzou football narrowly held off the Troy Trojans from the Sun Belt Conference in their last non-conference game. The Tigers’ offense, led by Austin Simmons, lacked the efficiency that made it so exciting to watch in the first two weeks of the season. With Simmons struggling to find his receivers during one of the easiest Missouri football games this season, can the Tigers recover before starting their first stretch of games in the Southeastern Conference? Tiger Kickoff Show host Tyson Ellison asks Missourian beat writers Dylan Heinrich and Lilly Marshall how Mizzou can correct its course before facing #24 Mississippi State on Saturday. The Tiger Kickoff Show is a student-run broadcast show that covers the Missouri Tigers football season during Mizzou football live games and during the week through analysis and predictions. In 2026, Tyson Ellison hosts the show alongside Missourian beat writers Michael Stamps, Lilly Marshall, Dylan Heinrich, and Joey Van Zummeren. While showing Mizzou Tigers highlights from the studio in Columbia Missouri, this team of University of Missouri journalists talks about conference play, SEC football, score predictions, the AP top 25, and more college football topics.
