Jerusalem to Rome | This Is What Was Spoken | Acts 2:14-21

In Episode 5 of Jerusalem to Rome, “This Is What Was Spoken,” we examine Acts 2:14–21 as Peter stands with the Eleven to explain the extraordinary events of Pentecost. Peter does not begin with speculation or personal experience—he begins with Scripture, declaring that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit fulfills the promise God gave through the prophet Joel. Peter concludes with a sweeping promise: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But that promise raises the question that leads us into the next episode: Who is this Lord upon whom we must call?
