I'm Taking This Civic Type R From Bulgaria To The Nürburgring

Most people come to Bulgaria's Black Sea coast for the beach. I came looking for the roads. Welcome to MaxTouge — Episode 1. This is the beginning of a road trip from Bulgaria to the Nürburgring in my 2009 Honda Civic Type R FN2. We start in Sozopol on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, heading to Driver's Beach and one of the lesser-known coastal driving roads in the area. It's short, twisty and surrounded by sea and hills — a pretty good place to start a European driving adventure. I'll also take a closer look at how the FN2 actually drives: its naturally aspirated K20Z4, 8,000+ RPM redline, short-ratio 6-speed gearbox, front-wheel drive and the joy of keeping a naturally aspirated Type R in the VTEC power band. The bigger plan is to drive this car across Europe toward the Nürburgring, finding mountain roads, track days and car events along the way. This is the pilot episode and the first proper video I've made for the channel, so there are definitely things I'll improve as the series goes on. Next stop: Turkey. Thanks for coming along.
