Overlanding Bulgaria | From Summit to Sea

We took our Land Rover Defender 110 overlanding across Bulgaria, travelling from west to east and taking on some of the country’s most remote roads, mountain trails and off-road routes. Our journey through Bulgaria took us deep into the mountains, across challenging 4x4 trails, through dramatic canyons and into some incredible caves before eventually reaching the Black Sea coastline. Along the way we explored some of Bulgaria’s most unique places, including the famous Buzludzha UFO monument, climbed into the mountains and discovered some of the incredible landscapes that make Bulgaria such an underrated destination for overlanding, off-roading and adventure travel. And, of course, things didn’t go completely to plan… We managed also most lost the Defender on a steep uphill section and ran into plenty of closed trails 😂 This is Overlanding Bulgaria — from summit to sea.
