SITA – THE AWAKENING | The Woman Beyond the Epic | Full Classical Dance Production | Muscat 2026

SITA – THE AWAKENING The Woman Beyond the Epic A Classical Dance Production by Ahalya Performing Arts, Muscat Beyond the epic, beyond the silence, beyond the boundaries of tradition… there is a woman whose strength, sacrifice, love and resilience continue to inspire generations. SITA – THE AWAKENING is more than a classical dance production. It is an emotional journey through the untold feelings, unspoken thoughts and extraordinary strength of Sita. Through expressive classical dance, powerful storytelling, evocative music, narration, cinematic visuals and theatrical lighting, this production brings a new perspective to one of the most timeless characters of Indian mythology. From the innocence of childhood to the beauty of love, from sacrifice and separation to courage and self-realisation, every moment unfolds as a celebration of womanhood. The production also explores the voices and experiences of other remarkable women of the Ramayana, reminding us that every woman has a story beyond what history remembers. 55 dedicated performers, one shared vision, and countless moments of passion, commitment and artistic expression. What began as a creative vision became an unforgettable journey of dedication, rehearsals, teamwork and emotion. We proudly present the complete stage production of SITA – THE AWAKENING.
