How Many Buckets to Fill a 100-Ton Komatsu Truck?

Get ready for a massive open-pit mining operation! In this video, a powerful Liebherr mining shovel is working along the face of a mining bench, digging and loading blasted rock directly into huge Komatsu 100-ton haul trucks. Watch as the Liebherr shovel repeatedly digs into the mine wall, swings toward the waiting trucks and drops massive loads of rock into their enormous bodies. The scale of this operation is incredible. A massive mining bench. A giant Liebherr shovel. 100-ton Komatsu haul trucks. And tons of broken rock being moved one bucket at a time. But here's the challenge... 👇 THE 100-TON TRUCK CHALLENGE 👇 How many full buckets do you think it takes to load ONE 100-ton Komatsu truck? Don't guess after watching the entire video! Make your guess first, then watch the loading cycle and see how close you were. 👇 DROP YOUR GUESS IN THE COMMENTS 👇 5 buckets? 6? 7? 8? Or even more? Let's see who can get closest! And there's another question for heavy equipment fans: If you could choose ONE machine to operate for an entire day, which would you choose? 🚜 THE MASSIVE LIEBHERR SHOVEL OR 🚛 THE 100-TON KOMATSU TRUCK? Tell us your choice in the comments and explain why! Pay attention to the loading cycle, the size of each bucket and the amount of rock going into the truck. The deeper the shovel works into the bench, the more impressive the scale becomes.
