THE ACACIA STRAIN | Devin Shidaker: CKY, Makeshift Guitars & The Heaviest Bands Of All Time | EP 146

This week's guest is Devin Shidaker, guitarist of The Acacia Strain. In this chat we go over his love for CKY, his journey into guitar, his first metalcore/deathcore band 1931, the 2000s deathcore scene & the myspace era. We reflect about his time in Oceano and Rose Funeral, The Acacia Strain's latest record You Are Safe From God Here, songwriting, collaboration, nostalgia & the band's longevity. We go over some of his current favorite bands, his picks for heaviest bands of all time, and of course: we answer the question; is The Acacia Strain a deathcore band? All that and SO much more in this near-3 hour conversation.   /      /    Join the BRUTALITY PODCAST PATREON for early access, ad-free episodes every single week:   / brutalitypodcast   Brutality Podcast Merch: https://www.indiemerchstore.com/colle...
