Introduction....... The Hadith of Jibreel ﷺ is one of the most important hadiths in Islam. In this powerful conversation, Angel Jibreel عليه السلام came to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and asked about Iman, Islam, Ihsan, and the signs of the Day of Judgment. The Prophet ﷺ explained the foundations of faith, the pillars of Islam, and how to worship Allah as if you see Him, knowing that He always sees you. This hadith teaches us the complete framework of our religion and reminds us that knowledge of the exact Hour belongs only to Allah. Full Haidith........ Isma'il ibn Ibrahim (Ibn 'Ulayyah) narrated from Abu Hayyan, who narrated from Abu Zur'ah ibn 'Amr ibn Jarir, who narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting among the people one day when a man came to him and asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what is faith (Iman)?” He ﷺ said, “It is that you believe in Allah, His angels, His Book, meeting Him (on the Day of Resurrection), His messengers, and that you believe in being resurrected after death.” He asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what is Islam?” He ﷺ said, “Islam is that you worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the prescribed prayers, give the obligatory Zakah, and fast during Ramadan.” He asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what is Ihsan?” He ﷺ said, “It is that you worship Allah as though you see Him, and if you do not see Him, then surely He sees you.” He asked, “O Messenger of Allah, when will the Hour be established?” He ﷺ said, “The one who is asked about it knows no more about it than the one who is asking. However, I will tell you about some of its signs: when a slave woman gives birth to her master, that is one of its signs; when barefoot and naked people become leaders, that is one of its signs; and when shepherds of sheep and goats compete with one another in building tall buildings, that is one of its signs. The knowledge of the time of the Hour is among five matters that no one knows except Allah.” Then the Prophet ﷺ recited the verse: “Indeed, Allah alone has knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will do tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.” Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then the man left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Bring that man back to me.” The Companions hurried to look for him and bring him back, but they could not find anyone. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: “That was Jibreel عليه السلام. He came to teach the people their religion.” YOUR Queries........
