Join me on a 68-minute night walk through the heart of Osaka, Japan, from Nankai Namba Station to JR Osaka Station.
This walk takes us north through Osaka along Midosuji, one of the city's most famous avenues, connecting some of Osaka's most vibrant districts.
We begin in Namba and pass through the lively streets around Dotonbori, including Kinryu Ramen and the famous Myaku-Myaku “Welcome” monument from Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, temporarily displayed near Kani Doraku in Dotonbori.
From there, we continue along Midosuji, known as one of Japan's premier luxury shopping streets, lined with flagship stores from some of the world's most prestigious fashion and luxury brands.
Along the way, we unexpectedly discover a Bon Odori festival taking place at Minami Mido, near McLaren Osaka.
As we continue north toward Umeda, we pass through Yodoyabashi and walk in front of Osaka City Hall before entering the vibrant lights of central Umeda.
Near the end of the walk, we ride the beautifully illuminated escalators at Hanshin Umeda Main Store and enjoy the nighttime views of Umeda from the pedestrian walkway outside the building.
The journey ends with a front view of JR Osaka Station.
Come with me and experience Osaka at night—from the energy of Namba and Dotonbori to the elegant streets of Midosuji and the bright cityscape of Umeda.
