🛗 *Build a Working Electric Elevator! | Wooden STEM Kit Unboxing & Assembly* In this video, we’re *unboxing and assembling a working electric elevator made out of wood!* This small-scale motorized elevator is an educational *STEM kit designed for kids and young science students* who want to explore electricity, engineering, motors, mechanical movement, and basic electronic controls through hands-on learning. The wooden elevator is powered by a *DC electric motor running on two AA batteries* and includes a simple control unit with two buttons. Press the *GREEN button to move the elevator UP* and press the **RED button to move the elevator DOWN**! Follow along as we open the box, examine the components, assemble the wooden elevator structure, connect the electrical system, install the motor and controls, and finally test the completed elevator. 📦 *ELECTRIC ELEVATOR UNBOXING & ASSEMBLY* In this video: 📦 Unboxing the wooden elevator STEM kit 🪵 Examining the wooden components 🔧 Step-by-step elevator assembly 🏗️ Building the elevator tower and platform ⚙️ Installing the DC electric motor 🔋 Connecting the two AA battery power supply 🔌 Connecting the electrical wiring 🎛️ Installing the two-button control unit 🟢 Testing the GREEN UP button 🔴 Testing the RED DOWN button ⬆️ Watching the elevator travel upward ⬇️ Watching the elevator travel downward 🧪 Testing the completed working model 🎓 Exploring the science and engineering behind an elevator ⚙️ *HOW DOES THE ELECTRIC ELEVATOR WORK?* This STEM project provides a simple demonstration of how *electricity, motors, controls and mechanical systems* can work together. Two **AA batteries supply electrical energy to the DC motor**. The control unit allows the user to control the direction of the elevator. 🟢 Pressing the *GREEN button* activates the system so the elevator moves **UP**. 🔴 Pressing the *RED button* operates the system in the opposite direction, allowing the elevator to move **DOWN**. Watching the elevator respond to the controls provides a fun way for young students to explore the relationship between an electrical input and mechanical movement. 🔬 *LEARNING STEM THROUGH HANDS-ON BUILDING* This wooden electric elevator can help introduce young builders to several important *STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)* concepts, including: ⚡ Electricity and simple electrical circuits 🔋 Battery-powered electronics ⚙️ DC electric motors 🔄 Motor direction and rotational motion ⬆️⬇️ Up-and-down mechanical movement 🎛️ Push-button controls 🏗️ Mechanical and structural engineering 🔧 Basic assembly and construction 🧠 Problem-solving and logical thinking 🎓 Hands-on science and engineering 🏗️ *HOW DO REAL ELEVATORS WORK?* While this model is much simpler than a full-size elevator, building a working miniature version can provide a great starting point for discussing how elevators use *electric motors, control systems and mechanical components* to move between floors. It also gives kids an opportunity to build a machine where pressing a button creates an immediate physical response—making the relationship between electronics and mechanical engineering easy to see. 🎓 *EDUCATIONAL STEM TOY FOR KIDS* This DIY wooden electric elevator is ideal for young builders interested in **science, electronics, engineering, mechanics and technology**. It can be a fun project for STEM learning, homeschool activities, classroom demonstrations, science projects, engineering lessons, or simply learning while building something that actually works.
